- a powerful, knowledgeable and calm friend...
I have never seen in my life a more powerful, calm, gentle,
full of good humour person like Carlos...!
He was always ready to help and understand other people, forgetting
often about himself…
We first came in contact through Internet, but soon afterwards,
he came to Germany, the land where he made his specialization
in beekeeping, but this time to assist to one of our international
events dedicated to Apitherapy.
Carlos was flying all over the world, promoting the Chilean
bee products wherever he could, and never getting tired speaking
on Apitherapy.
He came even to Romania, to the Black Sea Coast where I was
having at that time a small practice on Apitherapy and was helping
me tremendously, as a real friend, to pass through difficult
moments in my own life…
In Chile he organized and co-organized numerous events related
to beekeeping, but in the last years of his life he was the
most active Chilean promoting Apitherapy in his wonderful country…
In July 2003 I have had the honour and great joy to visit him
at his Clinic in Buin, a small but very nice city near Santiago
de Chile, a Clinic filled really with Love, Compassion and Understanding…
He made everything possible to gather near us as many as possible
Chilean believers in beekeeping and Apitherapy; he was always
ready to share with all of us the best of his knowledge…
His shocking and unexpected death (at the rear seat of a taxi!),
due to two drunk policemen (!) driving in the night through
crossing roads (!) with over 120 Km/hour leaved in my heart
a never to be healed wound…
I will always feel guilty that he died after a trip made in
Cuba following my suggestion…
Why do people like Carlos dies???
What can we do to keep his memory alive???
