1984 – 1985: Internship physician ( 2 months in
general surgery. 2 months in
Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) department. 2 months in
general medicine. 2 months in
emergency and anaesthesia departments. 2 months
in obstetrics and gynaecology. 2 months
in paediatrics. 1985 – 1988: Resident of Paediatrics ( (1) In the general paediatrics: I managed patients in the general
ward assessing the patients at least twice daily, attending the ward
rounds, presenting the cases for the consultants and requesting the
necessary investigations. Also, I attended the general outpatient
clinic and the paediatric emergency department twice weekly. (2) In the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU): I worked in neonates
and I have got an experience in neonatal resuscitation and managing
preterms and critically ill newborns. I did umbilical catheterization,
arterial and venous cannulation, urinary catheterization, and exchange
transfusion. (3) I attended each of the following specialized clinics once per
week: Gastroenterology and hepatology clinic,
haematology and oncology clinic, chest and cardiology clinic
and neurology clinic. |

Al Khafji National Hospital – Kingdom Of
Saudi Arabia from 1996 to 2003 working as a Consultant pediatrician
in General paediatrics (out patient clinic, and emergency and admission
departments) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit(NICU). I have got more
experience in neonatal resuscitation, umbilical artery and vein catheterization,
exchange transfusion, mechanical ventilation, arterial and venous
cannulation, endotracheal intubation and urinary catheterization. |
